This Website is owned by Pregnancy Choices LifeCare Center, Inc, and is provided for your personal education. “Website” as used in these Terms of Use and Privacy Policy includes the URL www.donors.mypregnancychoices.com as well as any other sites or services that we or any affiliated organizations have owned or operated, including but not limited to our pages and applications on third-party social networking services such as Facebook or X and our applications on mobile devices. Governing Law
The Terms of Use and Privacy Policy set forth in the Website is governed and interpreted under the laws of the United States of America and the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflicts of laws provisions. If any portion is deemed unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that part will be deemed severable, and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. The center respects your privacy. We seek to protect your privacy and comply with all applicable laws as you use our websites, our pages and applications on third-party social media platforms, our emails, and our mobile applications (collectively, our “Sites”).

  • Email Addresses – Pregnancy Choices collects email addresses from those that create online accounts for donation processing, subscribe to emails, or register for events. Pregnancy Choices may use your email address to send you emails, including marketing emails from Pregnancy Choices, organization and community updates, or email newsletters. To unsubscribe to any or all of Pregnancy Choices emails, send an email with Subject of “Email Unsubscribe” to info@mypregnancychoices.com. Pregnancy Choices does not distribute email addresses to third parties.
  • Mailing Addresses – Pregnancy Choices collects mailing addresses of those that register for events or make donations. Pregnancy Choices may send via US mail annual tax notices, newsletters, brochures, personal notes, or other materials that we believe our donors may be interested in. To opt out of any mailings from Pregnancy Choices, send an email with Subject of “USPS Mailing Unsubscribe,” name and address to info@mypregnancychoices.com. Pregnancy Choices does not distribute organizational addresses or associated contacts, except for required regulatory compliance purposes.

Additionally, when you visit or use our Sites, certain information is automatically sent by your device about your device and your internet activity, and cookies or other technologies may also automatically collect such information. The following are examples of the types of information that may be collected this way: device type, browser type, operating system, IP address, geolocation information, your interaction with our Site, and whether you open or forward our emails.

Cookies

Many websites, including this one, use cookies – pieces of numeric data stored on your computer so that we can identify when you return to our website. Pregnancy Choices can only “read” cookies that are placed on your computer from our own website. The usage of cookies is not linked to any personally identifiable information. Financial Data Security

Pregnancy Choices does not disclose credit card account information provided by its donors. When donors choose to pay by credit card, Pregnancy Choices submits this information directly to a secure credit card processor. In addition, Pregnancy Choices contracts with Network for Good as a provider of donor management services, including online donation processing. Analytics

Pregnancy Choices collects data through Google Analytics to track the location and number of visitors to our website. The following categories of data are collected:

  • Anonymized IP address
  • Internet activity information, including, but not limited to, browsing history, search history, and information regarding a consumer’s interaction with an Internet Web site, application, or advertisement
  • Geolocation data

Photographs

Pregnancy Choices takes photographs during public events, solicits photographs from donors and community organizations of their work, and occasionally selects quality photos for distribution via this website, social media, or other means. Photos are taken in public settings during public events. If you are included in a photograph and would prefer that it not be distributed, please contact Pregnancy Choices at info@mypregnancychoices.com and let us know what photo and where you saw it. We will do our best to remove it from circulation.

Embedded Content from Other Sites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How Long We Retain Your Data

For individuals who have donated goods, services, or dollars we store the personal information provided at the time of donation indefinitely. Website administrators can see and edit that information.

Information Storage
Information is stored for the period of time that we determine is necessary to properly serve you. It will be deleted or de-identified after that time.

To Whom We Disclose Your Information
Our general rule is that we will not intentionally disclose any personal identification information about you as an individual user to any third party without having received your permission. We do not sell or otherwise share your data with third parties. Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, the following are some examples of situations in which we may disclose the information we collect from or about you:

  • to service providers and other affiliates who work on our behalf;
  • as required by law, or to comply with a government request;
  • when required to protect our rights or your safety or the safety of others, or to detect, prevent, or respond to misuse of our Sites;

Parental Permission
Some of the information available on the Sites concerns the topic of sex and may not be appropriate for children. Further, the Sites are not directed to children under the age of 13 and we will not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. We strongly recommend that parents participate in their children’s exploration of the internet and any online services and use their browser’s parental controls to limit the areas of the internet to which their children have access.

Choice to Opt Out

Pregnancy Choices provides all individuals the opportunity to opt out of having personal information used for certain purposes. If you are a Pregnancy Choices donor, or have registered for an event, and no longer wish to receive promotional communications, you may opt out of emails, texts and/or US postal mail by sending an email to info@mypregnancychoices.com. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

If you wish to review or correct the contact information we have on file for you or inform us how you wish your contact or other personal information to be used, please contact our staff using the contact information in this policy. When you contact us or otherwise submit content via the Sites, if you desire to remain anonymous, you should not tell us your name or provide any information that you think may identify you or others.

Disclosure Practices

We disclose personal information if we are required by law or by a court order, in response to a law enforcement agency, to the extent permitted under other provisions of law, to provide information, or for an investigation on a matter related to public safety.

Security
The Sites take commercially acceptable precautions to protect users’ information from theft, loss, or modification. When users submit sensitive information via the Sites, we take great effort to protect their information both online and offline. While we have put procedures in place to safeguard information we collect from you, we cannot absolutely guarantee the security of any information you provide; you provide it at your own risk.

If there has been a possible security breach, please contact us with the details and we will comply with applicable investigation and responses. You have the right to file a complaint with us and proper regulatory agencies.

Do Not Track Signals

There is no standard that governs what websites should do when they receive such signals. Like many websites and online services, we currently do not take action in response to these signals. If and when a standard is established and accepted, we may revisit this policy.

We reserve the right to revise or replace the Privacy Policy at any time. You agree to be bound by any such revisions, and you should periodically read and review the same. Under Colorado law this concerns the following purposes:

California

Right to know what personal information is being collected about you

A consumer shall have the right to request that a business that collects personal information about the consumer disclose to the consumer the following:

  1. The categories of personal information it has collected about that consumer.
  2. The categories of sources from which the personal information is collected.
  3. The business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling personal information.
  4. The categories of third parties with whom the business shares personal information.
  5. The specific pieces of personal information it has collected about that consumer.

 

The right to know whether personal information is sold or disclosed and to whom

A consumer shall have the right to request that a business that sells the consumer’s personal information, or that discloses it for a business purpose, disclose to that consumer:

  1. The categories of personal information that the business collected about the consumer.
  2. The categories of personal information that the business sold about the consumer and the categories of third parties to whom the personal information was sold, by category or categories of personal information for each third party to whom the personal information was sold.

The Right to equal service and price, even if you exercise your privacy rights

A consumer shall have the right to request that a business delete any personal information about the consumer which the business has collected from the consumer.

A business that receives a verifiable request from a consumer to delete the consumer’s personal information pursuant to subdivision (a) of this section shall delete the consumer’s personal information from its records and direct any service providers to delete the consumer’s personal information from their records.

A business or a service provider shall not be required to comply with a consumer’s request to delete the consumer’s personal information if it is necessary for the business or service provider to maintain the consumer’s personal information in order to:

  1. Complete the transaction for which the personal information was collected, provide a good or service requested by the consumer, or reasonably anticipated within the context of a business’s ongoing business relationship with the consumer, or otherwise perform a contract between the business and the consumer.
  2. Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity; or prosecute those responsible for that activity.
  3. Debug to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality.
  4. Exercise free speech, ensure the right of another consumer to exercise his or her right of free speech, or exercise another right provided for by law.
  5. Comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act pursuant to Chapter 3.6 (commencing with Section 1546) of Title 12 of Part 2 of the Penal Code.
  6. Engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research in the public interest that adheres to all other applicable ethics and privacy laws, when the businesses’ deletion of the information is likely to render impossible or seriously impair the achievement of such research, if the consumer has provided informed consent.
  7. Exercise free speech, ensure the right of another consumer to exercise his or her right of free speech, or exercise another right provided for by law.
  8. To enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with the expectations of the consumer based on the consumer’s relationship with the business.
  9. Comply with a legal obligation.
  10. Otherwise use the consumer’s personal information, internally, in a lawful manner that is compatible with the context in which the consumer provided the information.
